Dive into a world of wonder at the Maritime Museum these school holidays with exhibitions, vessels, hands-on workshops, themed creative activities, films and more.  It’s a whole day of fun for the whole family!

Climb aboard Endeavour for an exclusive after-dark adventure! Join your character guide for dramatic tales, creative capers, and light refreshments. Explore the historic vessel under the stars, enjoying unique after-hours access. A night of maritime mystery and delight awaits!

Suitable for ages 4–12 and adults  *please note minimum height to board Endeavour is 90cm  

Deep Ocean Dive and Draw

Experience extraordinary deep ocean dive footage through the eyes of expert marine scientists and artists. Enjoy beautiful live music and guided drawing activities as you learn astounding fun facts.  

Dive and draw sessions will include a short ocean science presentation alongside a film screening, as well as beautiful musical accompaniment and a facilitated creative workshop in drawing or story making inspired by marvellous and mysterious aquatic life forms.

Performance, Under Sea Bubble-ology

Encounter clever characters and fun physics as performing artists unlock the wonders of everyone’s favourite experiment- bubbles! Experiment with the effects of light, water, weather and gravity as you play with gorgeous gigantic bubbles. 

All ages    
Roving sessions 14-26 April. 11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm

Deep sea lounge

Calm space/reading room/collaborative colouring

Take a time out in the deep sea lounge – a calm space and creative play opportunity.   

  • • Star in your own sea creature shadow play on the big screen
  • • Wind-down and relax amidst rock pillows and luminous sculptures. 
  • • Open up a deep-sea story books
  • • Add your mark to the collaborative colouring walls.  

Open 10am – 4.30pm   
Daily in school holidays 12-27 April (*reduced hours 18, 21, 23 and 25 April)
