Spring – Lost and found at sea

Get hands on at our interactive discovery station and handle objects that tell the story of how sailors found their way. You'll uncover everything from spyglass telescopes and mini planetariums to miniature canoes, discovering how ancient mariners used the night sky to navigate the seas.

Summer school holidays - Tidelines and Togs

Get hands-on with marine plant and animal specimens as you learn about intertidal species and coastal habitats.

Discover the evolution of beach fashion and fabrics as you explore kitsch and classic historic leisurewear, from floral bathing caps to burquinis and beyond.

Peer through the lens of a vintage box brownie camera, and admire intricate ghostnet sculptures woven from marine debris, showcasing creativity inspired by ocean conservation.
