The Welcome Wall, Australia’s National Monument to Migration, highlights migrants’ stories and the Australian National Maritime Museum’s role in shaping Australia’s identity.
Over 34,000 names already appear on the bronze panels that are joined together and run down the northern promenade of the museum, facing Pyrmont Bay, Sydney.

Celebrate a loved one of Lebanese heritage

Are you or a loved one of Lebanese heritage? Our next dedicated ceremony will celebrate the Lebanese community.
This is your chance to honour a parent, grandparent or loved one with a cherished acknowledgment on our National Monument to Migration.

About the donor recognition ceremony
The National Monument stands in honour of families who have migrated to Australia with registered names engraved in bronze. Currently there are over 34,000 names on the Monument with representation from over 140 countries.
The museum generally holds donor recognition ceremonies twice a year to recognise donors and celebrate the addition to the National Monument.
New registrants, their families and friends are invited to this celebration of their life-changing journeys to Australia.
The ceremony provides guests with the opportunity to view the panel for the first time in what is always a moving and festive ceremony. The event sees different family generations gather together to reflect on and celebrate their cultural heritage.
