This summer, the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour has exciting activities for the whole family.
Sea of Light - Paint a voyage in light. With a UV torch as your paintbrush, paint and stencil your own voyage. Steer ships that leave glowing paths of light in their wake as you sail them across the sea floor. Sea of Light brings together magical light and a gentle soundscape to create a unique adventure for the whole family. This interactive children’s show from Patch Theatre in Adelaide is presented by the Australian National Maritime Museum in association with Sydney Festival.
Ocean Lab - Meet the pint-sized planet protectors that save our seas at our ocean container laboratory- a space to explore what lies beneath the surface of the harbour.Discover more about the secret life of plankton, see films captured by our underwater drones and learn more about the biodiversity of our Sydney Harbour environment through experiments and demonstrations.

Kids on Deck - Hands on art and science fun for familiesBe inspired by our wondrous ocean planet as you enjoy art making and experiments with your family. Activities include printmaking, sculpture, painting and science experiments.
Underwater Drones - Explore below the surface of the harbour with our underwater drones. Have fun testing your gaming skills by challenging family and friends to see who’s the best U-Drone Pilot.Underwater drones sessions include a private workshop with our ocean-science educators and access to amazing underwater footage highlights to keep and share. For ages 9 to adult, suitable for wheelchair users and people of all skill levels.
Sea Country activity trail - Explore the museum and beautiful works by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists in our Sea Country Activity trail.
Creative workshops - Kids aged 8–14 can learn new creative skills in our hands-on workshops
